Further to their paper in Cell (2000), Douglas Hanahan, head of the ISREC Institute, at the EPFL, and his colleague Robert Weinberg, of the MIT (Boston, USA) publish a second paper which identifies some organizing principles of cancer cell development...
"We believe that cancer acquires capabilities and that these capabilities are all, to some approximation, necessary to produce a successful tumor", stated Douglas Hanahan.
