CSEM developed an accurate and open-source PVHC Estimator tool
CSEM developed an open-source PVHC Estimator tool that accurately and rapidly computes the PV hosting capacity of your electrical network under specific solar configurations and user-defined control algorithms. Include battery systems, redefine PVHC thresholds and tailor your simulation according to your project’s needs. The tool is freely available as a PowerFactory plugin (PowerFactory license not included) at www.csem.ch/pvhc. Based on the PVHC tool, CSEM also analyzed different inverter control strategies and based on the CIGRE benchmark LV microgrid network demonstrated that optimized inverter control can significantly increase the hosting capacity. This work was published at the Solar Integration Workshop 2017.
