During his visit, he will present the Seminar "Seismicity triggered by fluid injection-induced aseismic slip."

Prof. Cappa is Professor of Geophysics at the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis (France) in the Geoazur laboratory. His research aims at a better understanding of the role of fluids in the mechanisms governing crustal fault and landslide dynamics, the physics of earthquakes and induced seismicity. He is interested in developing new approaches combined geophysical observations and hydromechanical modelling for the study of coupling between fluid flow and rock deformations.
