Doctoral student Esteban Rucavado recieved an award for the best student oral presentation in the European Fall MRS Meeting (E-MRS Fall). The award was given in the Symposia N for "Advanced oxide materials - Growth, characterization and applications". The conference was held in the University of Warsaw from 18th to 21st September 2017.

In his work, Mr. Rucavado, researches the fundamental features of transparent conductive oxides to design new materials with tailered optoelectronic properties. In his presentation of title "Tuning defects in amorphous tin based transparent conductive oxides" he explained how a combination of experimental and computational tools are used to design new indium free materials with highly tunned optoelectronic properties. More information of his research can be found here.
