EPFL team selected for flight on sounding rocket in 2012

A team composed of EPFL student has been selected to fly a prototype earth sensor on a sounding rocket launched from northern Sweden in February 2012.

The GGES (Gravity Gradient Earth Sensor) is formed by a combination of bachelor, Masters and PhD students from the EPFL - IMT NE - LMTS (Microsystems for Space Technologies Laboratory) and the EPFL Space Center.

The monumental task which the team will undertake will consist in the development, system integration and test of all components necessary to insure the survival and success of the experiment.
