Young researchers from the Laboratory for Hydraulic Machines of EPFL attend the annual conference of the Swiss Competence Center for Energy Research "Supply of Electricity" (SCCER-SoE) held in Birmensdorf at the Swiss Federal Research Institute WSL on September 14 and 15, 2017.

The SCCER-SoE carries out innovative and sustainable research on the supply of electricity from hydropower and geo-energy in order to meet the challenges of the Energy Strategy 2050.

Research work performed at the Laboratory for Hydraulic Machines of EPFL contributes to the Work Package 3 dedicated to Innovative Technologies. The investigations range from simulation of the erosion of turbines due to silt ladden flows, using massively parrallel computing to experimental investigation of hydraulic turbine operation at off-design condition.
