The 31st Conference of the European Chapter on Combinatorial Optimization (ECCO) was held at the University of Fribourg in June 2018.

The ECCO annual meetings bring together researchers in the field of combinatorial optimization to present their work, share experiences, and discuss recent advances in theory and applications.

Daniel Kuhn was invited to give a plenary lecture on the potential of data-driven decision making and the significant challenges to the scalability of current optimization methods and decision support tools in the face of the ongoing data deluge.
