The work of doctoral students from our faculty is recognized for its quality, as testified by a recent award. Presented in the USA, it honors Andrea Manzoni for the quality of his publication.

Doctoral student at the Chair of Modelling and Scientific Computing (CMCS), Andrea Manzoni was awarded the prize from the Bavarian Graduate School of Computational Engineering (BGCE) on 4 March at Reno, Nevada. Selected among eight finalists, his paper was presented at the awards ceremony, on the occasion of the Computational Science and Engineering (CSE) conference. His work is about modelling the methods of optimization controls. For example, one of its applications is the study of cardiovascular flux.
