    02.05.18 — Mediacom The winner of the 2018 Isabelle Musy Award is Agnès Petit, the founder of Mobbot, a startup that develops and markets 3D printing systems for concrete.     02.05.18 — Institute of Mechanical Engineering Bursting bubbles and the search for the smallest jet droplet by Prof. James (Jacy) Bird, Boston University. When a bubble bursts at an interface, the capillary waves create an intriguing cusp, which is responsible for an upward jet that can break into droplets. This jet drop phenomena has been studied for over 60 years and is relevant to a variety of topics including the transport of respiratory pathogens and cloud-forming marine aerosols. Yet, several fundamental questions remain, including the physics that sets the size of the smallest jet droplets. Read the whole article

    01.05.18 — Mediacom In an effort to improve drug, cosmetic and other chemical product tests, Nagi Bioscience has created a device that automatically grows, feeds, houses and analyzes laboratory worms. This invention will save researchers both time and money and sharply reduce the number of tests that require laboratory rondents.
