Thomas Liebling elected to the Brazilian Academy of Sciences

On 3 December 2014 prof. Thomas Liebling was elected corresponding member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences (ABC) in recognition of his contributions to mathematical modeling, simulation and optimization of complex systems arising in nature, engineering and management.
On 22 June 2015 prof. Nelson Maculan, IFORS President, former Brazil Secretary of State for Higher Education and Rector of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, presented prof. Liebling his ABC diploma at EPFL, in presence of the Dean of the School of Basic Sciences, prof. Thomas Rizzo.
