Prof. Philippe Wieser gave a keynote speech at the 2016 GISEH Conference (Gestion et Ingénierie des SystèmEs Hospitatliers) in Casablanca in July 2016 on «Health Supply Chain : mythe, rêve ou réalité».

The eighth edition of the GISEH'16 conference was on "Hospital and Health territorialization: transversality, access to care and resource optimization".

Sub-themes such as optimization hospital processes tools, territorialization of health offers, drug risks, quality, risk management ... have also been dealt with in parallel with traditional sub-themes covered in the previous editions of GISEH. The management and engineering systems of the hospital, which are at the crossroads of various discipline be they scientific, technical, technological, economic or sociological allow hospital systems to meet the needs of the population, to better face competition and improve their levels of competitiveness.

This edition of GISEH'16, organized by the RAMAQS network (www.ramaqs.com) in partnership with ENSIAS, Mohammed V University in Rabat, ENSA Kenitra (Mo), EST Berrechid (Mo), Health Grouping of the Sousse base (Tunisia) and the University of Science & Technology Houari Boumediene (Algeria), was an opportunity for the scientific community to present recent research, explore new concepts, approaches, methods and tools specific to the field of industrial engineering, and to debate on some hot topics: innovation, creativity, sustainability, HSE, feedback from past experience, change management, risk management, competency management, conflict management.

In this context, the objectives of the 2016 GISEH were threefold:
• promote scientific research on specific topics in the field of management and engineering of hospital systems;
• disseminate knowledge and know-how related to the fields of engineering and management of hospital systems;
• exploit research results through publications, testing, patenting.
