IDEAS Seminar | 02 February 2015

Laure-Emmanuelle PERRET-AEBI will be the speaker of the next IDEAS Seminar, entitled "From high efficient solar cell to white solar module: a revolutionary building element". It will take place on Monday 02 February 2015 at 12:30 pm in the IDEAS space (LE Building).

The axis Integrated Design, Architecture and Sustainability (IDEAS) is a joint initiative of both the Interdisciplinary Laboratory of Performance-Integrated Design (LIPID) and Laboratory of Architecture and Sustainable Technologies (LAST) of the ENAC School at EPFL. It aims to address an increased integration of the various issues related to sustainable architecture within the framework of the Master Cycle in Architecture, Civil and Environmental Engineering, as well as the Doctoral program Architecture & Science of the city (EDAR).

The presentation, entitled "From high efficient solar cell to white solar module: a revolutionary building element", will focus on the evolution of PV modules. Laure-Emmanuelle Perret-Aebi obtained her Ph.D. degree in Chemistry at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland) in 2004. After 4 years of postdoc at the University of Edinburgh (Scotland) and Neuchâtel (Switzerland), she joined in 2009 the PVlab of EPFL as a group leader of the PV modules back-end activities. She is now section head of the “Modules & Systems Integration” sector at the CSEM PV-center in Neuchâtel. Her main research activities are focused on the development of innovative and highly reliable photovoltaic modules and systems for various applications such as building, mobility and land power plants.

A light lunch will be served during the presentation. For logistic aspects, please let Joëlle Eaves know of your participation before Friday 30 January noon.
